Is the problem in the people or culture area, such as:
- Morale
- Motivation
- Attitude
- Productivity
- Relationships
- Communications
- Excessive Workers Compensation
- Union-management relations
- Absenteeism & Retention
- Teamwork
- Customer Relations & Service
- Mergers and Acquisitions
- Employee Handbooks
We have solved similar problems in many companies—it won't take us long to solve yours. With Meridian Group you get results, not reports. From the start we work closely with your managers. That's why solutions come quickly—and they stick.
We begin analyzing the system, identifying the root cause and the best courses of action. As outside objective experts with decades of experience it usually takes us only a few days. This can easily save tens of thousands of dollars, sometimes millions that are inadvertently spent plugging the wrong hole. You get a clear problem analysis, concrete guidance on what your next steps should be, and hands-on help for you and your team get there, quickly.
2. Company Culture Building
This is the largest and most powerful part of our business. Your company's culture underlays everything you do, including productivity, customer relations and profits. Culture is the real bottom line. We can help you and your team understand your culture, agree on any needed changes, and do it. 3. Executive Coaching
Managers are human beings, not Supermen. They can't be experts in every field, particularly something as complex as relationships, attitudes, and the company's culture. Also, it is in the very nature of a company's culture that people in it can't easily see how to change it.
Sometimes all a manager needs is to talk with an expert who can provide the guidance and the knowledge that comes from long experience in similar situations. Executive or management coaching can be done:
- By phone.
- On-site in the manager’s office.
- Working side by side with the executive and his or her team.
Sometimes just one conversation or meeting makes all the difference. To discuss your situation and which might be the best approach, call 415-924-8549 or email barry@meridiangrp.net.
4. Seminars, Workshops, Conferences
- Are you looking for a keynote speaker at a conference?
- Could your managers and supervises use some new skills to get employee involved and motivated?
- A seminar or workshop on company cultue, with your key people, might be enough to kick start the culture change process.
- Would your association members like a workshop on company culture for one of your monthly meetings?
We have conducted motivating and valuable seminars, workshops, and conferences for thousands of managers from hundreds of companies and dozens of countries. If you would like more information about tailoring to your situation, please call 415-924-8549.
5. Leadership Training
When you want to build supervisor and management skills to move the culture forward quickly, training might be answer. Our training programs are not the usual “two day seminars and a 3 inch manual”. Instead we bring managers and supervisors together from different departments in one location for a morning or afternoon session, once a month for several months. The initial session lays out leadership basics and dives right to action. Each person leaves the meeting with their own action plan. In following sessions, participants share with other managers what they did, receive some new information, practice some new techniques, and plan what they will do over the next two to four weeks.
The workshop contents are developed collaboratively with those attending, ensuring relevance, buy-in and follow-through—qualities sadly missing in many training classes. Because culture change is a doing thing, rather than a talking and thinking thing, what goes on between the training sessions is a major part of the program. In the training sessions people practice new skills that they put to work back on the job. This process minimizes off-the-job class time and maximizes the benefit to the company. It is effective and economical.
If what you want is change on the job—rather than hours spent in training classes—our change management workshops do that.
6. Article For Your Newsletter
In your company —an article, carefully tailored to your situation, can tell everybody about the importance of you're company’s culture, their role in it, and what they might do right now to participate in the change process. More companies recognize the importance to their future of a well-developed company culture. With the right article you get the word out to all employees.
For your professional association —would your professional association like an article that links member's skills to their company’s culture? We can tailor the article precisely to meet your member’s needs. We do this in part by reviewing your past newsletters, focused discussions with the editorial staff, and when appropriate, talking on the phone with half a dozen or so members. The result is a practical, nuts and bolts article that makes sense to your members. It will give them tools they can use to their advantage back on the job.
To discuss any of these areas call 415-93-8549 or email barry@meridiangrp.net.
